I was actually in M&S Braehead when i stumbled upon the Stila Counter, who knew!! I love Stila products so my eyes were immediately drawn to a stunning collection of their liquid shadows. I’ve seen a million glitter shadows but have always felt disappointed when i tried them. They are either too watery and not rich enough in pigment or just don’t last. These however are amazing.
There is such a wide range of colours that i struggled to pick. 9 infact. There is a silver, rose gold, gold, bronze, pink and a black which i LOVE!
They give such a solid colour and not a transparent version so 10 out of 10 for these. Great for a xmas party.
There are a few different ways to wear these:- The black can be traced along the lash line for a super glitzy liquid liner effect. Or as a sold black glittery shadow. I love both looks.
The other colours are more wearable if you don’t want to be quite as bold and dark.
You can either dot them on top of your eye shadow in the centre of the lid to add some sparkle, or attempt the “cut crease” look. It’s far easier than it looks.
darken your crease with your choice of shadow. e.g. you could opt for a dark plum tone . Blend it out and darken the corners. No need to be precise as the liquid shadow is going to do the job for you. The idea here is to have a very sharp line separating the dark shadow from the sparkle. Not the usual soft blend.
Using the applicator in the bottle, trace into the crease of your eyes and lid with the liquid shadow to create that sharp line.Rose gold looks beautiful with the plum tones in the crease and outer corners. It’s so easy to apply this formula so it will give a nice even finish. Use plenty for a super shine finish.
Apply liquid or gel liner to the upper lash line and mascara and/or lashes to polish off the look.
I tried it for a night out and it didn’t fade or crease. It stayed super shiny all night.
